Summer fun week was best attendance ever, Pity about the weather. The sessions are on holiday till the start of the new school term. They are held every Sunday (not including school holidays). Wanted
Be more of an active member for your team than just a supporter or parent/team supporter, Spare just a little of your time to assist the team manager with just one of the many duties involved to run a successful team off as well as on the pitch (you do not have to support on the pitch), just before, during & after matches. All offers would be gratefully accepted from collecting subs, raising money for the tour fund, organising & running a social event to just putting up goals, etc., make the team a social family affair for all to enjoy. The manager’s & if you have one coach’s have lots to do with the team and offers of help are always welcome & it does make their work load just that little bit lighter. Each and every one of us has a talent that could be put to good use that would not take up too much time & would be another way of thanking those that do far more than we realise to get a team onto a pitch to play football.

The club needs adult volunteers to assist with the many non football, football & social activities that they offer to the local community. If you feel you could offer an hour a week or a little more to assist utilising your talent then please step forward, if we do not get help then it can not be offered and the community looses out.

Adults (male & female) to assist in the U 16 discos – contact Cliff Grove & Rob King to get further details. In the past some parents show a concern about these events, so come along & be an adult monitor for an evening & see for your self how well they are run & how good the behaviour of the kids can be. Will start up again with the new season.

Lounge & Function Rooms
The Skittle Alley is a very popular fun social inexpensive evening and is available for hire with an extensive food menu; this is a great way to have a smaller private function at very low cost for all ages and abilities. The menu starts at only £ 6.50 per head with a minimum of 10 persons, which is unbeatable value. If you would prefer a different choice of foods, please do contact the Club as they will try to accommodate your needs if at all possible. Available to non social members, players and general public. As it is a very popular evening please allow enough time when booking your selected night – they do fill up quickly.

Have your private or open party either in the large Function Room – it can take up to 170 persons dependent upon the activities to be held or lounge bar upstairs. With bar & kitchen facilities, we can even offer a manned disco at a very competitive rate – see web site for details. Many functions held have been kid’s parties, christening, weddings & also the saying farewell to a loved one and also leaving work party etc. You need a good venue then we have it.

Saturday 7th August memorial match at Kilkenny Lane for the late John Williams ex manager & local business man raised £ 203.05 with all funds going to “Simon House” Oxford Sunday 8th August Memorial matches at Kilkenny Lane for Mickey Jones raised £761 with some money donated direct to the fund not included in the figure above.

OMGFL Rep team 2008/09 v Oxford United Ladies & Carterton FC v Oxford United Ladies.

All proceeds went to The Macmillan Nurses. Photos on main web site Summer fun week 23rd – 27th August took place for ages 5 – 13years,boys & girls of ALL abilities (no football experience was necessary) a record number enjoyed the week with numerous activities to keep them entertained and ball skills aplenty.

New season started August (Men’s) & September 11th & 12th for Ladies, Boys & Girls.
